Privacy Policy for Habitlist

This Privacy Policy explains what Habitlist does with information when you use the app. Habitlist is developed and published by Min Thet Maung ("we", "us"), an independent app developer.

Habitlist has no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth, and we have no way to identify you personally from anything the app sends us.

1. Summary

Your habits, notes, completion history and settings are stored on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, that data also syncs through your own private iCloud database, which only you can read. We cannot see it.
Habitlist sends anonymous usage analytics to Google Firebase Analytics so we can understand which features are used. These events never include your habit names, notes or emoji.
Habitlist contains no advertising, no ad networks, no attribution SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and never show the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Habitlist does not sell or share your information with anyone.

2. Information stored on your device

The following is created by you and stays on your device (in the app's own container and a shared App Group container used by the Home Screen widgets):

We do not receive any of the above.

One item in the Keychain. Habitlist stores a single flag in the iOS Keychain recording that onboarding has been completed. It contains no personal data. By design, this flag survives deleting the app, so that reinstalling does not force you back through onboarding while your iCloud data is still restoring. You can remove it using Clear Data (see section 8).

3. iCloud sync (Apple)

If your device is signed in to iCloud, Habitlist syncs your habits, categories and completion history to the private database of its iCloud container, plus a small record noting whether the lifetime free access offer has been claimed. It also stores a single true/false value in iCloud Key-Value Storage for the same purpose.

Private database means the data is held inside your personal iCloud account. It is not visible to us, not visible to other users, and is not part of any shared or public iCloud database. Sync is handled entirely by Apple's frameworks.
