Habitlist is a habit tracker built around a contribution grid: every habit gets its own grid, and every day you complete fills a cell. Habits you want to build fill their cells as you go; habits you want to quit start each day full and drain as you use up your limit.

When you write in, please include your iPhone or iPad model, your iOS version, and the Habitlist version number (Settings → About → Version).
Adding your first habit Tap the plus button on the main screen. Give the habit a name, pick an emoji and a colour, then save. Choose whether you are building the habit or quitting it. Everything else (notes, targets, limits, reminders, categories, cell shape) is optional and can be changed later.
Marking a day done Tap the button on the habit's card. In Weekly view you can also tap any day of the current week. To undo a day, press and hold it and choose Reset Day.
For a quit habit the tap works the other way round: each tap logs one occurrence against your daily limit, and the day stays good as long as you are at or under it.
Changing how the list looks Use the View Style menu on the main screen to switch between Overview (one year of history per habit), Weekly (the current week in reach) and Monthly (one compact tile per habit).
How is the streak calculated? A day counts as complete when the amount you logged reaches that habit's daily target. Your current streak counts backwards from today over consecutive complete days. Today is a special case: if you have not finished today yet, your streak is not broken, it is just waiting. Your longest streak is the best run you have ever had.
How is a quit habit's run calculated? A day counts when you stay at or under your limit for that day. Today counts from the moment you start, so your first day is day 1, not day 0. If you go over your limit, the run resets on the tap that takes you over. Your longest run is the best you have ever had.
What do the shades in the grid mean? In the default Intensity Ladder style, an empty cell means nothing was logged, a light cell means you got up to half your target, a medium cell means more than half, and a full cell means you reached the target. Rising Fill and Progress Ring (Habitlist Pro) show the same progress in different shapes. Change this in Settings → Appearance → Progress Style.
A quit habit's grid runs in reverse. The cell starts filled at the beginning of the day and fades as you log occurrences, so a bright cell means most of your limit is still unused. Go over the limit and the cell is left as an outline.
Can I fill in a day I forgot? Yes. Open the habit, find the day on the month calendar and tap it. You can also tap any day of the current week from Weekly view or the Habit List widget. Future days cannot be logged.
Can I log a number instead of a checkmark? Yes. In the habit editor, open Tracking and choose Custom value, then set a target amount. From the main screen you will be asked to type the amount for the day. Choose Steps instead if you want to tap up one at a time toward a target.
Can I log more than my target? Turn on "Go beyond the target" in the habit's Tracking settings.
